Sometimes cakes are a dime cupcake a dozen. Ok, somewhat dry, sometime sweet, and just good because its cake. But when my friends Dirk and Cassie brought this over one day, I changed my tune. This cake is moist, delicious and so worth it. Orange juice in the batter, orange zest throughout and orange extract in the cream cheese frosting.

This past weekend it was great for a dinner party and a great use for the 20 lbs of Cara Cara oranges. Candied orange peel on top made it seem fancy.
